1. The job
Who needs to do what? What starts the work? What tells them it is finished?

2. The current path
List the tools, handoffs and exceptions. Where does someone wait or enter the same information twice?

3. The people
Who performs the task, approves a decision and supports the system? Who needs access to which records?

4. What needs to connect
Which systems should stay? Who owns the data? What access, API or migration constraints do you already know?

5. A useful first release
Name one workflow the first release must support. What can wait? What would your team measure before and after?

6. Boundaries and open questions
Record timing, budget constraints, sensitive data, rollout requirements and decisions still to make.
